Cellphone Modems

Kelly and I just got a new tablet PC (Dell Latitude XT) and I wanted to set it up with my Verizon cell phone (HTC Apache 6700) and I must say that all I had to do what hook up the phone to the tablet via a USB cable and start the "Modem Link" application on the phone and vista did the rest. Took me about 2 minutes and now I am typing this on my tablet with a quite good connection (484Kbps down, 137Kbps up, 130ms ping to my web-farm).

That also being said, the real sign of quality is how does World of Warcraft play, and I must say that I am quite happy. I am getting pings of of 300ms in the game and it uses an AMAZINGLY small amout of bandwidth. I also get about 20fps in most areas and about 12fps in shatt and about 40-50fps in SL, so it is really quite playable.
